Every time I tilt my head even 10 degrees to the side my new glasses go out of focus. They are 1.6 hi index lenses and my prescription is -4.
I know there maybe a little chromatic abberation with hi index lenses but I have had them before and not had this extreme a problem. The optician has done a retest and found nothing wrong with the prescription, they have also checked the lenses and claim there is nothing wrong with them. I've been told to give it 2 weeks to adjust but its driving me bonkers, I have constant headaches and its causing me problems at work as I have to sit perfectly still to see anything. Does it take as long as this to adjust or should I be getting a second opinion?
I have been persevering for 10 days now!

Additional Details
The new frames are very similar to my old ones but my prescription in one eye has increased alot and the cyl is higher and the astigmatism is worse! Not sure what all that means really! I'm going back in for a retest when the 14 days are up and I'm getting another pratice to check them over also. Back to the old faithfulls in the mean time.

I got the second retest done today by the head optometrist, she said that if you dont adjust to a new specs in 24 hours you never will!! She found that the prescription they had given me was too strong in my left eye and they had increased the cyls too high in both eyes. Why they didnt spot this in the first retest is anyones guess. I get my new lenses next week, fingers crossed they're ok .
